Using my previous research on the development of mobile network infrastructure, carried out at home and abroad, described on my blog www.marcinnoga75.blogspot.com, I have made numerous attempts to write algorithms that would allow me to visualize the nature of telecommunications waves. I presented the first works on visualization in 2D format by giving the waves a properly selected color scheme. However, while watching my works, I felt a certain insufficiency of the spatial representation of the wave phenomenon. Another idea was to use multiple layers of transparent foil over which I applied wave drawings. In this way, I wanted to reflect the depth of the aether in which these waves propagate. In order to introduce the audience to the issue that interests me, I began to transpose electromagnetic waves into images constructed in such a way that viewers of my works could immerse themselves in a space that was elusive for them. And this is how I came to 3D prints.

Thanks to the use of my own algorithms and the possibilities offered by the use of a 3D printer, new cycles of work were created, in which I presented an electromagnetic wave, which by means of stacking elements is materialized in the real world.

The creative process, visible in my series of works in the period of 2019-2022, describes the transformation of electromagnetic wave energy into the form of organic structures. The visualized waves pile up, then stretch, creating at times condensed systems of spatial forms, and at times delicate, silvery like spider threads, brittle textures, stretched to the limits of the material’s strength. It is more about showing the elusiveness of a phenomenon, a delicate one in its form of an electromagnetic wave, rather than reflecting the transfer of mathematical data contained in it, and digital printing allows for an innovative approach to the material that constructs the spatial structures of the work.
[/et_pb_accordion_item][/et_pb_accordion][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Marcin NOGA dr | PhD (Fine Arts) Uniwersytet Technologiczno-Humanistyczny im.
