Jego artystyczne dzia\u0142ania maj\u0105 charakter interdyscyplinarny. Jako tw\u00f3rca zajmuje si\u0119 rze\u017ab\u0105 w tworzywie ceramicznym i sztuk\u0105 cyfrowych medi\u00f3w. Od 1997 zwi\u0105zany jest z macierzyst\u0105 uczelni\u0105. W 2005\/2006 obj\u0105\u0142 stanowisko \u201einvited professor\u201d na Uniwersytecie Kyung Hee w Korei Po\u0142udniowej.<br \/>W latach 2012-2020 kierowa\u0142 Katedr\u0105 Dzia\u0142a\u0144 Interdyscyplinarnych w Ceramice i Szkle, a obecnie jest profesorem wroc\u0142awskiej ASP, gdzie prowadzi Pracowni\u0119 Dzia\u0142a\u0144 Intermedialnych w Ceramice. Aktualnie jest aktywnie zaanga\u017cowany w rozw\u00f3j Eksperymentalnego Laboratorium Fabrykacji 3D na macierzystym wydziale oraz w opracowywanie metod tw\u00f3rczego wykorzystywania narz\u0119dzi cyfrowych i druku 3d.<br \/>W ostatnich latach eksperymentuje z programowaniem w\u0142asnej aplikacji komputerowej wspomagaj\u0105cej projektowanie. Jego prace prezentowane by\u0142y na ponad 100 krajowych i mi\u0119dzynarodowych wystawach, a tworzone przez niego animacje i kr\u00f3tkie formy filmowe zaistnia\u0142y na licznych pokazach i festiwalach. Realizacje Adama Abla s\u0105 obecne w polskich i mi\u0119dzynarodowych kolekcjach sztuki wsp\u00f3\u0142czesnej mi\u0119dzy innymi: Ichon World Ceramic Center, Kyonggi Province, Korea Po\u0142udniowa; Centrum Sztuki WRO, Wroc\u0142aw; Dolno\u015bl\u0105skie Towarzystwo Zach\u0119ty Sztuk Pi\u0119knych, Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche, Faenza, W\u0142ochy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>[ENG]<\/strong> Adam Abel is a Polish multimedia artist. He graduated in ceramic design from the Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw . His activities are interdisciplinary. As an artists he deals with ceramic sculpture and digital media art. He has been part of his alma mater since 1997.<br \/>Between 2005 and 2006 he worked in South Korea where he held a position of Professor in the Faculty of Ceramics at the Kyng Hee University. He was the Head of the Department of Interdisciplinary Activities at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw in the years 2012-2020. Currently he is a professor at the wroclaw Academy and runs the Studio of Intermedia Activities in Ceramics. He&#8217;s been actively involved in the development of the Experimental Laboratory of 3D Fabrication at his home faculty and in developing methods of creative use of digital tools and 3D printing in ceramics. In recent years, he has been experimenting with creating his own computer applications supporting the design process.<br \/>His works have been presented at over 100 national and international exhibitions and his animations and short film forms have appeared at numerous shows and festivals. Jednak w tym zachwycie umyka istotny fakt, \u017ce \u017ar\u00f3d\u0142o tw\u00f3rczych mo\u017cliwo\u015bci nie tkwi w samym urz\u0105dzeniu, a w oprogramowaniu dzi\u0119ki, kt\u00f3remu mo\u017cna nie tylko wytworzy\u0107 cyfrowy model, ale r\u00f3wnie\u017c operowa\u0107 jego cyfrow\u0105 struktur\u0105 jako medium. Ju\u017c w 2011 roku Lev Manovich w swoim eseju \u201eTylko software\u201d zwr\u00f3ci\u0142 uwag\u0119 na uzale\u017cnienie osi\u0105ganych rezultat\u00f3w od funkcji jakie udost\u0119pniane s\u0105 u\u017cytkownikom aplikacji, kt\u00f3re po\u015brednio narzucaj\u0105 zakres operacji mo\u017cliwych do wykonania. Okre\u015blaj\u0105c ten stan jako \u201euwi\u0119zienie w softwerze\u201d zach\u0119ca\u0142 do programowania w\u0142asnych aplikacji, kt\u00f3re umo\u017cliwi\u0142yby wyj\u015bcie poza narz\u0119dzia definiowane w programach tworzonych przez innych.* W swoim wyst\u0105pieniu odnosz\u0119 si\u0119 do autorskiej eksperymentalnej aplikacji, nad kt\u00f3r\u0105<br \/>pracuj\u0119 od kilku lat. Jej pierwotna posta\u0107 wyewoluowa\u0142a w stron\u0119 komputerowego narz\u0119dzia, wspomagaj\u0105cego algorytmiczne projektowanie moich prac. Dla zobrazowania uzyskanych rezultat\u00f3w przedstawiam przyk\u0142ady tych obiekt\u00f3w wykonanych w technologii druku 3D, kt\u00f3rych cyfrowa anatomia opiera si\u0119 na opracowanym przeze mnie kodzie. Some of them perceive it mostly through the prism of devices which enables materializing almost any three dimentional shape. However, they are losing sight of the fact that the source of creative possibilities is not in a device as such. The true possibilities lie in software enabling not only to shape a digital model but also to manipulate its digital structure as a medium. In 2011 Lev Manovich in his essay \u201cThere is only software\u201d pointed out that the achieved results depend on functions which are made avaiable to users and indirectly impose and limit range of operations which can be performed. Manovich, by describing this state as a \u201cprison\u2013house\u201d of software, encourage to programming own aplications situated beyond tools and programs created by others.*<br \/>Following this idea I am refering to my experimental application I&#8217;ve been developing over recent years.<br \/>It has been built, partialy intuitively, on the programming platform entitled Processing. It began with the concept of creating a virtual form where directions and structures would have been interactivly changed by users. Its original appearance has evolved toward personal app aided algorithmic design of my works.<br \/>To illustrate the achieved results I am presenting examples of those 3D printed objects in which a digital anatomy relies on the personally drafted code. Thanks to that I am able to manipulate the basic structure of the digital medium. It allows to generate characteristic aesthetics and reveals the traces of algorithms that make it up.<br \/>I am also refering to the material as a one of the substancial factors affecting the aesthetic expression of my works.
